Our Sessions
ABCD offers adaptive, movement-based dance and creative arts programming designed to support the mental and physical wellness of pediatric and geriatric patients. All programs are ambulatory-aware and individualized, meeting participants where they are in terms of mobility, energy, and comfort. Sessions are facilitated by trained student volunteers and developed in collaboration with partner clinics and care centers to ensure accessibility, safety, and patient-centered care.

In-person programs take place in clinics, hospitals, and care centers across the community. These sessions focus on adaptive, group-based movement that fosters social connection, joy, and embodied wellness. Activities are tailored to the ambulatory needs of participants and may include seated dance, gentle standing movement, creative expression, and music-based interaction, all facilitated with safety and inclusivity at the forefront.
-
Our virtual programs bring inclusive dance and creative movement directly to patients through live or pre-recorded sessions. Designed for individuals with limited mobility, chronic illness, or mental health challenges, virtual offerings emphasize seated or low-impact movement, rhythm, and self-expression. These sessions allow patients to engage at their own pace while maintaining flexibility for clinical settings or home environments.
-
One-on-one sessions offer personalized, patient-centered programming tailored to individual physical abilities, cognitive needs, and emotional goals. These sessions are especially well-suited for patients with significant mobility limitations or those who benefit from individualized attention. Movement and creative activities are adapted in real time to support comfort, autonomy, and meaningful engagement.
